Small groups, real attention

Group Socialization and Obedience Classes

Small-group sessions where puppies, adolescent dogs and adult dogs learn alongside each other — and where handlers learn to read what their dog is telling them.

A few times a year

When they run

Our group classes run a few times a year rather than continuously. Dates are set in blocks, and places are limited so that every dog gets real attention.

To find out when the next block opens, contact us directly. There is no standing enrolment and no waiting list you can join online — a quick message is the way to get on the next set of dates.

Practical foundations

What the sessions cover

  • Socialization: confidence, resilience and neutrality rather than exposure to everything at speed.
  • Neutrality around other dogs and people, which is the foundation for future public access.
  • Obedience and manners: settling, engagement, recall, and handling.
  • Realistic environments, gradually increased as dogs are ready for them.

A thoughtful fit

Who they suit

  • New puppy owners building foundations.
  • Pet owners whose adolescent or adult dog needs manners and confidence.
  • Handlers in our service dog programs who need controlled environments to practise in.

Welfare comes first

How we run a room

Welfare comes first. If a dog is finding a session too much, we adjust the setup or step them back rather than push through it. Progress is conditional on readiness, never on a calendar.
